A great untold tale of American music is Capricorn Records. Established in 1969, Capricorn owner & founder Phil Walden (shown with Gregg in 2nd photo) encouraged Gregg Allman to get some boys together and start a band. Within a year the Allman Brothers were born, from there the snowball effect of 70s Southern Rock happened.
Capricorn wasn't just a record label, it was a whole scene... Phil would host an annual bbq where folks like Andy Warhol, Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Richard Pryor, Cher, Bette Midler, and Don King were some of the guests you'd see hangin' around.
But the drugs & Rock n' Roll got to be too much for Phil, and he burned himself out. By 1979 everything he built was gone & Capricorn went bankrupt.
I've come across ONE Capricorn Records tee in my life, here is reimagined with new colors and given a new life, I hope you love!
